Rules & Regulations
-
Regular candidates would undergo the mainstream courses in a systematic
manner graduating from the “Basic” module to the “Concert” module.
-
The student would have to pass the relevant examinations at the end of
each module before going onto the next.
-
To join CMG, an aptitude test would be conducted to place the student in
the correct module. However, candidates having no prior exposure would
start from the beginning.
- A
candidate with previous exposure may be required to take the examinations
of the previous modules. The exam fees only need be paid for the previous
modules.
-
The choice of group/individual classes would vest with the
students/parents
-
The syllabus has been carefully designed by experts and senior musicians
and is tailored to cover all the necessary aspects of the art so as to
keep up with the aspirations of every student. This unique methodology
followed by Carnatica is very scientific in its approach.
-
There is no academic year beginning/end for this system. It is purely
module-based. The fees are also per module. A student is, however,
permitted to finish the module before the six-month period expires and
proceed to the next level. The fees would still be the regular module fees
as applicable to that module.
-
Each student would be provided a file that will be maintained at the
relevant Carnatica gurukulam/office. The student and teacher have to
compulsorily sign the register within the file at the beginning and end of
every class, noting and verifying the “Start” time and “End” time.
- A
student joining an “in-between” module will have to complete the syllabus
of the previous modules. One month can be taken for each of the modules.
The fees would be a monthly payment in that case, in addition to the
assigned module fees.
-
The fees, once paid will NOT be refunded. However, in unforeseen
situations, such as when a student has to necessarily move out of town,
the fees could be refunded. (If the candidate is moving to a locality/town
where Carnatica already has a gurukulam and can continue the training, the
fees will NOT be refunded)
