under the renowned mridangist Ramanathapuram
C S Murugabhoopati and Palghat Mani
Iyer. He is known for his incisive mind, immediate delivery and his
excellent fingering techniques and is acclaimed as a Khanjira wizard. He is a much
sought-after artiste and has provided support to several top-rank
musicians. He is also a prominent part of several percussion
ensembles.
