| Subramanyam
hails from a family deeply involved in Carnatic music. Right from the
age of 3, he showed great interest in this art and began his formal
training in vocal music from vidwan Sankara Iyer. Later, he continued
his tutelage under Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer. He
has provided vocal support to Semmangudi in hundreds of concerts.
Today he is one of the most faithful adherents of the Semmangudi style
and is actively involved in imparting this style to many students. |
