| Prof. Sadagopan was a distinguished musician-teacher who contributed much to the science and art of music. He held very different but highly practical views on music, making subtle distinction between music in education and education in music. He had his tutelage under Namakkal Sesha Iyengar and Ariyakkudi Ramanuja Iyengar. He represented Indian Music in the Centenary celebrations of the Moscow Conservatoire 1966. He has composed quite a few songs using the mudra (signature) Seshadasan besides setting to tune many songs of Ambujam Krishna and others. |
