| N Ramani, who is a top-ranking flautist in Carnatic Music today, is one of the premier disciples of T R Mahalingam, the genius. Ramani started performing even when he was in his teens and soon built-up a reputation for tonal excellence, rich volume and purity of Sruti. He has travelled round the world and has trained a number of disciples. He played a leading part in the Violin-Venu-Vina ensemble along with Lalgudi Jayaraman and R Venkataraman. |
