| Padmavati
has the distinction of being in the renowned Lalgudi sishya-parampara
of Tyagaraja. She is the daughter and disciple of Lalgudi V R Gopala
Iyer and the sister of Lalgudi
Jayaraman. She took to the vina in a
family of violinists and made her debut at the age of twelve. She
follows a traditional style, soaked in bhava and is also renowned for
her teaching skills. |
