Hello every one,
I want to know if Raag saarang in hindustani is equivalent to Raag brindavana saranga in carnatic music

The equivalnet raaga of saranga (in carnatic) in hindusthani is Chaya.
The equivalent raaga of Brindavan saaranga (hinduatani raaga) in carnatic is Pushpalatika (Janya of Karaharapriya, Mela 22).

In HM there are several versions of sArang. shuddhsArang, brndAvanisArang, madhmadsArang, mArusArang, lankAdahansArang, gauDsArang, malhuasArang, miAnkisArang, noorsArang, jaldhArsArang and baDAhamsasArang.

BUT I'M STILL IN A CONFUSED STATE; ACCORDING TO YOUR REPLY ABOVE - THAT MEANS SHUDH SAARANG IN HM IS BRINDAVANA SARANGA IN CARNATIC MUSIC?

No. ShuddhsArang is different from brndAvanasArangA of CM. brndAvanadasArangA is the same in both CM and HM. madhmadsArang of HM is the same as madhyamAvati of CM.
Other sArangs are peculiar to HM.
If you want to hear a Karnatak song in shuddsArang I will try to locate it.
