NADANUBHAVA (CD-ROM)

The first-of-its-kind CD-ROM on Carnatic Music, entitled NADANUBHAVA, is a major breakthrough in the world of carnatic music. This was brought out as a fitting tribute to commemorate the 15th year of independence. It is a product of superior multimedia technology and was authored to suit all the categories of viewers like those who are unexposed to carnatica music, those who are exposed to carnatic music, music students, connoisseurs and musicians. This
is interactive and encyclopedic CD-ROM as a sequence of systematic
chapterisation, which takes one on a journey through the wonders of carnatic

NADOPASANA (Video CD)
The
VCD, titled, NADOPASANA, is the world’s first Video CD in Carnatic music. This
is basically a learners package and has been designed to cater to the
beginners, music lovers, connoisseurs and also to musicians, who can learn
advanced rhythmic exercises and voice culture methods. One can learn from
Sarali varisai to Varnam from this package. The personalities in this
production include veteran teachers like Calcutta Krishnamurthy and P S
Narayanaswamy, popular musicians like Chitraveena Ravikiran, Vijay Siva, P
Ganesh, T M Krishna and other youngsters along with voice culture and ethno
musicologist expert like Dr S.A.K. Durga. This VCD is supported by text and
commentary in English at appropriate junctures. This VCD is based on the karaoke
format of learning.

This
Video CD on Mahakavi Subramania Bharatiar is a unique one with the live program
of Smt. S. Sowmya on this great national poet songs. The songs have been
rendered in the tunes composed by the poet himself. The meanings for these
songs and the commentary for the same have been given in English. There is also
a short write-up of the poet. An interesting aspect of this VCD is that video
clippings relevant to the meaning of the songs have been incorporated while
they are being rendered. This VCD would be the first of its kind with a live
performance by a carnatic musician and Smt. S. Sowmya would be the first
musician to come out on a video album of this kind.
